Are your feed dogs up? If not, then the fabric wouldn't advance. If they won't go up, there may be some thread gumming things up. I'd try lifting the faceplate and see what they look like down there.

It looks like your feed dogs are lowered - try lifting them up and see if that helps (no idea how to do THAT on a Bernina, but your user manual should be able to tell you :) )
